Changing the world – one step at a time.
Welcome to the Highland Imp’s slice of life blog. This is a place for me to share my innermost thoughts and feelings with all of you. With a focus on animal rights and living a cruelty-free lifestyle, I want my blog to educate, inspire and amuse everyone who flicks through its pages.
Join me on my journey – my physical journey, through university struggles and my way of coping with the injustices in this world, and my journey of personal growth. Every day I’m still learning, still changing, still loving in this madly breathtaking place we call Earth.
If you are a dreamer like me, with a passion for learning and a passion for life, then join me on this adventure.
What can you expect to see from me?
Slice of life – “a realistic representation of everyday experience” – this will include:
…and more, depending on what I find interesting at the time!
Who is the Highland Imp?
I’m an old soul in a young body. I long to live in the mountains surrounded by nothing but wilderness. I wish I could live off the land and do nothing but care for animals. One day…
I’m an anthropology student at Oxford Brookes University, looking do do postgraduate studies on human-animal relations next year. Right now, studying comes first, but I’m always looking to participate in activism whenever I can.
I love to write, read, cycle and run, among other things. All I want is to live life to the fullest without harming anything – and I want to encourage others to do the same.
Being vegan is my number one defining quality. The things I’ve learned from avoiding animals and eating plants have taught me so much about the world, about myself, about life. Life is precious, and it’s up to us to conserve it. Veganism has shown me peace, love, good health and happiness, and if I can make one other person feel that way too, I know I will have achieved something amazing.

Be noble, for you are made of stars.”
